JB grew up in Rochester, NY and after graduating from high school, he went into the US Air Force. He served and retired from the USAF after 20 years of dedicated service. He served in the financial field throughout his entire career beginning in Financial Accounting, Budget, Financial Services, Bank Liaison Officer, Resource Advisor and Personal Finance Advisor until ending his career as Base Comptroller. 

 

After retiring from the military, he completed his education attaining two BBA degrees in Accounting and Finance and Business Management. His entrepreneurial experience has been in real estate investing, independent sales and marketing of consumer goods and services and factoring car notes. He attained his Health and Life license in 2013 and successfully completed Certification in Financial Planning from Howard University School of Business in 2019, with the following electives: Financial Planning, Insurance Planning, Income Tax Planning, Estate Planning, Retirement Planning, and Investing. 

 

He’s been a Personal Financial Advisor for more than 30 years and has always had a burning desire to help people get their financial house in order. His vision is to help people prepare for long life, by getting affordable health coverage and Medicare while setting up a bulletproof retirement that will bring total peace of mind throughout their retirement by providing the necessary income to enjoy the rest of their lives with confidence of never running out of money, because it's the income that brings freedom. He has served in the Personal Finance Ministry in his church since 2003 helping people in the community with their financial literacy. In addition, he is now focused on helping people to prepare for retirement by sharing safe money strategies to protect their principle from loss, and develop lifetime income to support a long and prosperous lifestyle. 

 

JB Burnett is married to Lucy and has two sons, a daughter in law and one granddaughter.
