About Jerry Cannon

Jerry Cannon has been in the financial services industry since 2002, assisting clients in protecting their families and creating and protecting retirement income. He has helped hundreds of clients accumulate and protect over $200,000,000 in safe money programs and assets.  His clients include retirees from Duke Energy, Exxon, General Electric, Walmart, CVS, Harris Teeter, Walgreens, Verizon, New Hanover county schools and other state and local government employees. Jerry is an independent agent with access to 17 insurance carriers. He has experience helping pre-retaries accumulate retirement income and assisting retirees with preserving and growing their retirement nest egg. He is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill earning bachelor's degrees in Communications and History. Jerry has been married to Karen since 1987. He has been a member of Myrtle Grove Presbyterian Church since 1984 and served on the diaconate from 2001 to 2022. He also was on the board of directors for Wilmington counseling service for 18 years and for 14 years served on the Myrtle Grove Christian School Board of directors. His favorite task is serving as the point person for our Thanksgiving ministry project. Last year we delivered over 1,500 meals on Thanksgiving Day. "God made me a server and when I help other people I feel his pleasure."
