What is IS Publishing and how does it benefit me?
IS Publishing is the editorial syndication flow that puts your blog posts on the Insurance Storefronts public consumer blog. We get steady consumer traffic searching for insurance topics; you get your post (with your byline, photo, and bio block) in front of that audience.
Every IS-published post is a backlink to your marketing profile, gives you author exposure to consumers who weren't searching for you specifically, and counts as a credibility signal when leads land on your profile.
What is required to create a blog post for Insurance Storefronts public blog?
Every IS-publish-ready post has to clear these requirements (we validate them at submission):
| Post Title | 20–70 characters. |
|---|
| Excerpt | 100–150 words. |
|---|
| Post Content | At least 600 words. |
|---|
| Post Image + Alt | Required. Image should relate to the content. |
|---|
| URL Slug | Required. Auto-generated from the title. |
|---|
| Post Status | Set to Request IS Publish. |
|---|
| Post Category | Both Parent and Sub-category required (IS taxonomy). |
|---|
| Meta Title | 20–60 characters. |
|---|
| Meta Description | 100–155 characters. |
|---|
| Open Graph Title | 20–60 characters. |
|---|
| Open Graph Description | 100–200 characters. |
|---|
| Open Graph Image + Alt | Required only if you didn't check Use the Post Image. |
|---|
On top of that, the content itself has to read as written (or substantively edited) by a human and be on-topic for insurance. Untouched AI output gets rejected.
Is there a limit on how many blog posts I can request to share on the public blog?
No cap. Submit as many as you like — as long as each one meets the requirements and adds genuine value for consumers.
That said, four well-edited posts a month tend to outperform twenty thin ones, both for our editorial bar and for SEO outcomes.
How do I request my blog post to be published to the public blog?
Open the post editor, switch Post Status to Request IS Publish, pick a Parent and Sub category from the IS list, and click Update Post. Saving with that status triggers an email to our editorial team to review.
You only need to do this once per post — re-saving while the status stays at Request IS Publish doesn't re-trigger the email.
How long does it take for my blog post to hit the public blog once requested?
Usually within a business day, often within a few hours. If your post meets the requirements and reads well, we approve and publish it.
When it goes live, you'll get a Your blog post is live email confirmation. If something needs tweaking, we'll email you what to fix instead.
When a blog post is published, am I able to edit any of the details?
On your own website (Published status): yes, edit any time via the yellow edit icon on the post listing.
On the IS public blog (IS Published status): no — the edit button is hidden so a public-facing post can't be silently changed after our review. If you need to update an IS-published post, email us and we'll either make the edit ourselves or temporarily unlock it for you. If we have to unpublish a post you'll get a Your blog post was unpublished email explaining why.
