When a consumer fills out the quote engine details, where does their data go?
Every submission is captured on your account as a lead and stored against the quote engine that produced it. You'll see it under Leads in your dashboard with the consumer's contact info, the data they entered, the quote they viewed or selected, and the page they were on when they engaged.
Data is yours — it isn't shared with other agents and it isn't sold. Quote engines are tied to your account, so leads route only to you (or to whomever you set up under Settings → Lead Distribution).
Do the quote engines start the application process of a policy?
No — quote engines collect intent and let the consumer request the application. They surface real-time quotes, let the consumer pick a plan, and capture their contact info on the App Request step so you know they're ready to apply.
From there, you take over and write the policy through your carrier portal. The quote engine's job is to deliver a warm, qualified lead with the carrier and plan they want — not to bind coverage directly.
What is the process from start to finish of the steps of a quote engine?
Every quote engine walks the consumer through four screens:
- Quote Request — the entry form. Basic info the rater needs to price coverage (age, ZIP, coverage amount, household, etc., depending on insurance type).
- Quote Results — real-time rates from the carriers you've enabled. The consumer compares and picks one.
- App Request — contact details so you can follow up and start the application.
- Thank You — closing screen confirming the request was received.
You design each screen independently under Quote Engines → Edit, then publish. The consumer never sees the seams.
Is there a limit of the quote engines that I can create?
The number of active (published) quote engines you can run is governed by your plan. You can create and edit drafts freely — the limit only applies when you click Publish Quote Engine.
If you hit the cap, you'll see a notice on the Review tab. Unpublish an engine you're no longer using, or upgrade your plan from the Billing tab to raise the limit.
How will I be informed that a consumer has completed the quote engine form?
Every submission triggers an instant email to your account email and (if you've added a mobile number under Account → Personal Info) an SMS. You'll also see a bell notification when you next log in and a new row under Leads.
If you want leads routed to additional addresses, phone numbers, or split across a team, set that up under the quote engine's Settings → Lead Distribution tab.
