How do I change my site's theme?

Go to Themes, browse the gallery, and click Activate on whichever theme you want to switch to. The switch applies immediately to every page on your site.

Your content (text, images, sections, menu) carries across themes — only the styling and layout change. So if you don't love the new look, switching back is one click.

What's the difference between the modern and legacy themes?

Modern (Tailwind / section-based) themes use the Easy Builder section system — you fill in fields and the theme handles the layout. They're faster to set up, mobile-first, and play nicely with AI content generation.

Legacy themes use the per-page Blade system and the original VvvebJs editor. They're more flexible at the markup level if you know HTML, but they're not the path we recommend for new sites.

The Themes gallery shows modern themes first; legacy themes are still there for agents who built sites on them before the switch.

Can I customize a theme's colors and fonts?

Yes. On Themes there's a Customize panel where you can override the theme's primary color, secondary color, accent color, heading font, and body font without touching CSS.

For deeper changes, the Settings → Head Styles field lets you drop in any CSS you want — that runs after the theme's stylesheet, so your overrides win.

Will switching themes break my custom CSS?

Your custom CSS from Settings → Head Styles stays put regardless of theme — that field is global. But the selectors you wrote it against may not exist in the new theme, so styling that used to work might no longer hit anything.

Plan to spot-check your pages after a theme switch and tweak any custom CSS that targeted the old theme's class names.

Why did the builder open in Easy Builder when I clicked into a page?

The legacy Advanced Builder (VvvebJs) only works against themes that ship a per-page Blade for every UserPage. Modern Tailwind themes only ship pages/home.blade.php, so opening a non-Home page in the legacy editor would crash — we redirect to Easy Builder instead with a banner explaining.

If you want the full drag-and-drop on every page, switch to one of the legacy themes. Otherwise use Easy Builder (and Advanced GrapesJS where available) on the modern theme.

How do I go back to a theme's original styling?

Clear out any overrides in the Customize panel (or reset the colors and fonts to defaults) and the theme renders as shipped. To remove custom CSS, empty the Head Styles field on Settings.

The theme files themselves can't be edited in place — they're versioned templates — so there's no risk of permanently breaking a theme. Worst case, switch away and back to wipe any per-user customizations.
