What is a slug when creating a new blog category?

The slug is used to define the URL when viewing the blog category to show blog posts for that category.

This slug is automatically created when you enter the name for the blog category, so you shouldn't have to mess with it at all.

What categories should my blog have?

When you first create your account, Insurance Storefronts creates some default blog categories for you.

However, you should add blog categories specific to your interest and the policies you would like to write about.

How do I sort my blog categories in a specific order?

When viewing your blog categories, you can drag and drop them in the order you would like them to be shown to consumers.

This feature will automatically save the order once you drop a blog category into a new spot.

Can I update my blog category title?

Yes. When viewing your blog categories, you can click the yellow edit button that will allow you to modify the name and/or slug without affecting the blog posts that use that blog category.

What happens to blog posts when I delete the blog category it belongs to?

When deleting a blog category, we just delete the blog category.

We do not delete or update any of the blog posts that use this blog category. So make sure that when deleting a blog category, you update the blog posts that use this blog category to use a new blog category.
