The post title is the title of your blog post that is shown to the consumer. To have a fairly optimized title, make sure it clearly describes the content and that it contains related keywords that are part of your SEO strategy.

If you have a blog post title ready, you can use Gemini to start a rough draft of the post content. Click the Gemini button to either view the post title you already added or add the post title to the pop-up. Click the Ask button, and Gemini will create a rough draft based on the post title provided.

If you like what Gemini has produced, you can click the use generated content button, and it will be added to your blog post.

The excerpt is used to show a small description of what a blog post is about when listing available blog posts. This gives the consumer an idea of what the blog post is about before they actually click to read it.

We understand that writing the blog post content itself is hard enough without having to come up with an excerpt as well. With that said, if you have at least 600 words in your post content, you can use Gemini to generate a summary of your content for your excerpt.

To start, just click the Ask Gemini To Summarize Post Content and click the Summarize button that you see in the pop-up. Gemini will use your post content to generate an excerpt summary. If you like the content Gemini produced, you will just click Use Generated Content, and the summary will be added to your excerpt field.

There are a few reasons why we like our post content to be at least 600 words. We want the content produced on our platform to contain enough information that is beneficial to consumers that read the material. Research has shown that for a blog to make an impact on information, it should be around 600 words. That same research shows that blog posts that are at least 600 words weigh more heavily on search engines showing content to users on search results. Finally, blog post that have at least 600 words gives Gemini (the A.I.) enough content to produce an accurate excerpt for blog posts produced by our agents.

While you can use Gemini to whip up your entire blog post without putting in any work, we do not recommend this approach for your personal blog posts nor allow it when posting blog posts to the Insurance Storefront's public blog. The key to using Gemini to create traffic-impacting content is to think of the Gemini results as a rough draft.

When Gemini creates your post content, there are several things you should keep in mind.

  • Make sure the content generated is accurate and factual. Sometimes A.I. can get things wrong, and you want to make sure the consumer is reading accurate and up-to-date information.
  • When thinking about SEO strategies, remember that you need to inject the keywords in your SEO campaign into the content. Spread it around and use words related to your keywords.
  • The content should be personal to YOU. Think about adding an introduction on how the content applies to the consumer and how you are able to help them with the subject at hand. The blog post should also contain a conclusion that reiterates how you as an agent can help them with moving to the next step.
  • Try to hit your local area with your keywords. Don't try to conquer Rome in a day and use general keywords that will take a lot of time and hard work to get to the top. Use your city and/or state in your content. This allows you to reach the top of search results quicker and produce traffic for your blog posts. This allows you to turn consumers who visit your blog posts into future clients.

Other than the Post Content that can use Gemini, the excerpt and SEO Content fields should be reviewed to make sure they are accurate and match your SEO campaign with keywords. These should take just a few tweaks to accomplish and are not as in-depth as the Post Content.

When it comes to adding a post image for your blog post, size matters. The image size should be no larger than 10 megabytes. The resolution should be at least 1200x630, but it is not required. This gives you room to crop the image to be perfect for your blog post as you want the image to be related to the information you are sharing with a consumer.

When adjusting the image, there are a few things you can do. You can increase and decrease the image size using the magnifying icons at the bottom of the pop-up. This can also be accomplished using the scroll on your mouse. The image can be moved around when hovering over the image itself. Finally, you can move the crop area around the image as well. Once you get the image content where you want it within the crop area, just click the Crop & Save button to save the cropped image for your blog post.

The image alt attribute field should describe the image you are using. It should also closely resemble the title of your blog post. This does weigh in on SEO and should be added with that in mind.

When using Gemini to create an image, adding as much detail will help Gemini create an image that you will be satisfied with. You should include color, objects you want in the image, and text that you may want clearly describe what your blog post is about.
