01What this means
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar laws in states like Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information.
"Sale" and "sharing" have broader legal definitions than most people expect — they can include passing data to ad-tech partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, even if no money changes hands. This page is how you tell us to stop.
02Our position
Insurance Storefronts does not sell consumer personal information. We don't pass your contact details to lead-aggregator networks, data brokers, or pay-per-lead marketplaces.
We do work with limited service providers — analytics, hosting, email delivery, and similar — under contracts that prohibit them from using your information for their own marketing. We also use a small set of advertising and analytics cookies, which under California law may be considered "sharing." When you submit the request below, or when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat both as a request to stop all such sharing.
03Submit a request
Fill out the form below and we'll process your request. You don't need to create an account, and we'll only use the information you submit here to verify and act on your request.
Prefer email? Send your request to privacy@insurancestorefronts.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share."
04Global Privacy Control
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal when you visit the site, we treat it as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information for the duration of that session and any associated identifiers.
You can enable GPC in browsers like Firefox, Brave, and DuckDuckGo, or via extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
05Authorized agents
You may use an authorized agent to submit this request on your behalf. To do so, your agent will need to submit:
- Written, signed permission from you (the consumer) authorizing them to act.
- Proof that the consumer is who they say they are.
- Their own contact information.
We may follow up with the consumer directly to confirm before we act, except where the agent provides a valid power of attorney.
06What happens next
- Within 10 business days
- We acknowledge your request and let you know what we need (if anything) to verify it.
- Within 45 days
- We confirm what we've done. We may extend this once by 45 more days for complex requests and let you know in writing if we do.
- For the next 12 months
- We won't ask you to re-opt-in to sale/sharing without your express, knowing consent.
Opting out doesn't affect your ability to find and contact agents through the directory. It only stops the categories of data activity covered by this request.
