Terms of Service

These terms cover how Insurance Storefronts works, what we promise, and what you agree to by using the site. We've kept it short and written in plain English wherever the law lets us.

Effective May 26, 2026

01The short version

Plain English: Insurance Storefronts is a directory that connects you with independent insurance agents. We don't sell or issue insurance ourselves — your agent does. Use the site honestly, don't abuse it, and you and we will get along fine.

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Insurance Storefronts. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

02About this service

Insurance Storefronts ("we," "us," "our") operates an online directory that helps consumers find and connect with licensed independent insurance agents. We provide:

  • Search and discovery tools to find agents by location, coverage type, and other criteria.
  • Agent profiles, reviews, and custom storefronts published by participating agents.
  • Educational content about insurance products and concepts.
  • A way to contact agents directly — without going through a lead-aggregator middleman.

We are not an insurance carrier, insurance broker of record, or licensed insurance producer. We don't issue policies, bind coverage, or process claims. All of that happens between you and the agent or carrier you ultimately choose to work with.

03Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Insurance Storefronts. By using the site, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

04Accounts & your conduct

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Things you agree not to do

  • Submit false or misleading information about yourself or anyone else.
  • Impersonate another person or post a review of an agent you have not worked with.
  • Scrape, harvest, or copy our content without our written permission.
  • Probe, attack, or attempt to disrupt the site or any related infrastructure.
  • Use the site to send unsolicited commercial messages or harassment.
  • Use the site for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that violates a third party's rights.

05Working with agents

When you contact an agent through Insurance Storefronts, you are entering a relationship with that agent or their agency directly — not with us. The agent is responsible for the advice they give you, the carriers they represent, the policies they sell, and the claims experience that follows.

What that means: We carefully screen agents to confirm they are licensed independent agents, and we maintain badges and quality signals to help you choose. But once you reach out, the agent — not Insurance Storefronts — is providing the professional service.

06No insurance advice from us

Educational content on the site (blog posts, FAQs, comparison guides) is general information, not personalized insurance advice. Insurance needs vary by state, household, and situation — please talk to a licensed agent before making coverage decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

07Third-party content & links

The site contains links to third-party websites, agent storefronts, and content published by agents. We don't control those destinations and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Use them at your discretion.

08Intellectual property

The Insurance Storefronts name, logo, design system, code, copy, and assembled directory are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes — finding an agent, reading content, leaving a review. You may not copy, reproduce, or resell our content without written permission.

When you submit a review or other public content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it as part of the service.

09Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Insurance Storefronts and its affiliates, officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the site or your interactions with an agent.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Consumers don't pay us anything to use the directory, so for most users that ceiling is $100.

10Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Insurance Storefronts from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of a third party's rights.

11Dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Before filing a formal claim, please email us — most concerns are resolved within a few days.

Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be filed exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in these Terms prevents you from filing a complaint with a regulator in your state.

12Termination & changes

You can stop using the site at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or for any other reason consistent with applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top. If we make a material change, we'll give you reasonable notice. Continued use of the site after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
