We share that with the agent(s) you choose to contact. We don't sell your data to third-party lead aggregators.

Information you provide
- Search criteria — your ZIP code, the type of insurance you need, and any details you add to help us match you.
- Contact details — your name, email, and/or phone number when you reach out to an agent or sign up for an account.
- Reviews and feedback — anything you submit publicly to review or rate an agent.
- Communications — the content of emails, support tickets, and messages you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, and links clicked.
- Approximate location — derived from your IP address so we can show you agents in your region.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies & tracking section.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics), payment processors (for agent subscriptions), and email-delivery services. We do not buy consumer profiles from data brokers.
03How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Connect you with an agent — the entire point of the platform.
- Operate and improve the service — analytics, debugging, search quality, and feature development.
- Keep you informed — confirmations, status updates, and, with your consent, occasional newsletters or product announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Prevent abuse — detecting fraud, spam, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Meet legal obligations — responding to lawful requests and complying with applicable laws.
We do not use your information to sell behavioral profiles to ad networks. We do not use any health information you may discuss with an agent to target advertising back at you.
04When we share information
With agents you choose to contact
When you click Contact this agent or submit a request, we send the relevant details (your name, contact info, and what you're looking for) directly to that licensed independent agent. That agent then communicates with you directly. You're in control of which agents see your information.
With service providers
We use trusted vendors to host the site, send email, process payments (for agent subscriptions), and run analytics. These vendors are contractually limited to using your information to provide their service to us.
For legal reasons
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Insurance Storefronts, our users, or the public.
What we don't do
We don't sell consumer contact information to lead-aggregator networks. When you submit a request through Insurance Storefronts, the only agents who receive your information are the ones you specifically reach out to.
05Cookies & tracking
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them for things like keeping you signed in, remembering your search, and understanding how the site is used in aggregate.

07Data security
We use industry-standard safeguards — TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted-at-rest databases, hardened access controls, and routine security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated.
08How long we keep data
We keep your information only as long as we need it to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable window, except where retention is required (for example, tax, audit, or fraud-prevention records).
09Children's privacy
Insurance Storefronts is intended for adults shopping for insurance coverage. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us and we'll delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective" date at the top. If we make a material change, we'll give you reasonable notice — usually a banner on the site or an email to registered users.
