What are the account-level quote engine settings?
The account-level settings under Account → Quote Engine Settings are the defaults that get applied whenever you create a new Life Insurance, Final Expense, or Medicare quote engine. You pick the carriers you're appointed with and the states you write in — once — and every new engine starts pre-configured with those choices.
It saves you from re-selecting the same 15 carriers and 30 states every time you spin up a new quoter.
Do changes here affect quote engines I have already created?
No. Changes you make to the account-level settings only apply to newly created quote engines going forward. Anything you've already built keeps the carrier list and state list it was set up with.
To change an existing engine, open it and edit its own Company Selection and State Selection tabs directly. That's by design — you don't want a global tweak silently rewriting a quoter that's already live on a landing page or embed.
Why are only Life, Final Expense, and Medicare here — not ACA or Dental?
Life Insurance, Final Expense, and Medicare each have a carrier-by-carrier appointment model — different agents are licensed with different companies, so we need to know which to show before we can quote.
ACA and Dental work differently: the marketplace and dental quote engines pull rates directly from external rate sources and don't require you to maintain a personal carrier list. There's nothing to set at the account level for those — configure them per-engine when you create one.
